RELATED: Persona 5 Royal Soundtrack Tier List
To get right to it, fans that are working on the Trapped in a Nightmare side quest in Persona 5 Strikers should start by making their way to the checkpoint on Sendai Jail’s Hirose Street map. From there, players should climb onto the nearby rooftops and activate their Thief Vision / Third Eye ability. For full clarity, that is done by pressing L2 on PS4 or ZL on Switch, and the ability will reveal a number of invisible platforms when it is used.
Updated September 23, 2021, by Jacob Buchalter: Because Persona 5 Strikers took such an absurd amount of extra time to release in the west, a lot of fans simply missed out on it until now (which might hurt their understanding of the P5 universe in the long run). Plus, this year has had a lot of stellar releases too, so for fans of the franchise who have finally cleared out their backlog and have reached this point in P5 Strikers, here’s an updated guide to this slightly annoying Morgana request.
Where To Go
First, go to the Hirose Street checkpoint in the Sendai Jail dungeon. From there, just head into the alleyway to find a climbable pipe/pole to get onto the nearby rooftops. There, after Ambushing the guard on the roof, start hopping across the Floating Gems and transparent platforms.
Now use these platforms and gems to navigate all the way to the row of rooftops on the far west side. Then, head to the right (northwest side) corner of Hirose Street, where there is a small platform that players can drop down onto. On this little platform sits the Forgotten Desire the request is for and instantly completes the quest when picked up. And, for anyone still struggling, the image below shows what the platform looks like and its location on the mini-map.
What Are The Rewards?
To be a bit more specific about the reward, there will be new accessories available at Sophia’s Shop, just like how the previous “Trapped” request from Morgana (called Trapped in Wonderland, centered in the Shibuya dungeon), also adds accessories to Sophia’s inventory.
Also, there should be a few material drops along the path to the Forgotten Desire, as well as a chest directly across from the platform with the Desire that holds a Skin Ripper, a whip for Panther that has a low chance of Fearing enemies.
What Enemies Are In The Way?
Honestly, between the checkpoint and the Forgotten Desire Morgana’s request is for, there aren’t too many enemies. At most, players will encounter three guard dogs that spawn some Orthus (who are weak to ice) and a Jail Guard or two that spawn some Beriths (also weak to ice). Because of this, if Joker and the Phantom Thieves aren’t overleveled (or maxed out on Bond Skills), Yusuke (Fox) is a good counter for this sidequest run, as well as any Joker-based Persona with Bufula-type spells.
But, if players are completing this request long after the Sendai Jail is done and don’t care about their team setup or the exp gained from these level 12-15 enemies, the only battle that is even slightly mandatory is the single Berith/Orthus encounter on the roof directly above the platform holding the Forgotten Desire. Let’s be real, avoiding enemies as often as one does in P5 Strikers is one of the big differences between it and P5 Royal.
This Isn’t The Last “Trapped” Request
It’s worth mentioning that Trapped in a Nightmare is certainly not the last time that fans will be on the hunt for Forgotten Desires, as Morgana has several more requests that pop up at different dates. Those requests will have players searching Sapporo, Okinawa, Kyoto, Osaka, the Abyss, and the Tree of Knowledge, and they all offer unique rewards.
Additionally, completing those side quests will push fans ever closer to earning the “Those Who Heed the Call” and “What are Friends For?” achievements/trophies, which is nice to know for those hunting that ever-elusive Platinum Trophy.
