According to iSportconnect.com, Football DataCo, the firm which markets and commercialises official match data for the Premier League, The Football League and the Scottish Professional League, has appointed digital sports media group PERFORM to supply live data feeds to be used in the betting sector.
Taking about the three-year deal, David Folker, General Manager, DataCo said
“We are pleased to announce this landmark deal with PERFORM. We recognise the betting sector has very specific needs and speed and accuracy of data is critical to the success of their business.”
This will be the first time that a company is officially appointed to collect live data to be used in betting. The official data collectors of PERFORM will attend over 3000 matches. They will also have access to Wi-Fi in the stadium, which will aid them in quick relay of data to the customers.
