Penn State Gets Head Start On 2018 Class With Early 5 Star Commitments

No. 1 all-purpose back Ricky Slade announced his commitment to James Franklin and the Nittany Lions on Friday, giving Penn State 10 commits overall.

The 5-9, 195-pound back — the No. 24 overall prospect according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings — joins No. 2 defensive end Micah Parsons (No. 5 overall) in what is looking to be a loaded 2018 class for Penn State.

As of Slade’s commitment, the Nittany Lions boast the top-ranked class after ranking 15th in 2017. Something big could be brewing in Happy Valley.
