Anderson was carted off the court after he collided with the Boston Celtics’ Gerald Wallace during a January game. He was not officially ruled out until March and an April surgery came soon after.

Since then, Anderson has waited to receive clearance to play. With the season less than three months away, he finally received the good news.

Prior to suffering the injury, Anderson played some of his best basketball to date. Anderson averaged 19.8 points and 6.5 rebounds and shot 40.9 percent from the 3-point line in 22 games.
